Ledger & Co is not a real company. This site is a design and engineering demonstration built to show how a two-audience insurance marketplace might be designed and constructed. Every carrier, agent, National Producer Number, premium, deductible, commission schedule, household and testimonial on it is invented for that purpose.

Nothing on this site is an offer of insurance coverage, a quote, a binder, a solicitation, or licensed insurance advice. No contract of any kind can be formed through it, because there is nobody on the other side of it.

The mechanics described here are described accurately: metal tiers and actuarial value, the premium tax credit and how it is calculated against the second-lowest-cost Silver plan, cost-sharing reductions and the Silver-only rule, federal poverty level bands, the November 1 to January 15 Open Enrollment window, special enrollment periods and qualifying life events, HMO, EPO, PPO and POS network shapes, maximum out-of-pocket, per-member-per-month agent commission, and CMS Federally-facilitated Marketplace registration.

Every specific figure attached to those mechanics is illustrative. Premiums, deductibles, credits, poverty guidelines, commission rates and book sizes are invented to be structurally plausible, not to be correct. Do not rely on any number on this site for any decision.

You may read this site, share links to it, and use it to evaluate design and engineering work. You may not present it as the site of a real insurance brokerage, republish it as your own, or use its text or imagery to imply that a real firm, carrier or licensed producer endorses anything.

The carrier names, agent names and producer numbers used here are fictional. Any resemblance to a real carrier, agency or licensed producer is unintended, and using them to imply a real appointment or relationship would misrepresent both this demonstration and the party named.

These illustrative terms would be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in a real deployment, which is where the fictional head office in this demonstration sits.
